REI has recently launched an entire National Park collection with 5% of sales being donated to the National Parks. The collection of outdoor gear and clothing includes shoes, water bottles, backpacks, hats, shirts and more.
REI has been involved with the National Parks for decades, since 1987, leading outdoor trips.
The items are available in map prints from the following National Parks:
- Acadia National Park
- Denali National Park
- Grand Canyon National Park
- Great Smoky Mountains National Park
- Mount Rainier National Park
- Rocky Mountains National Park
- Voyageurs National Park
- Yosemite National Park
The Pack
The backpacks in this series are minimalist packs and very lightweight. The REI Co-op Flash 18 National Park Pack features cool limited edition prints inspired by maps of different parks. It has a removable back panel which doubles as a sit pad, which is one of my favorite features. This is great for a lunch break and means you don’t have to carry around an extra sit pad. It features a side zip pocket, hip and chest straps, and a hydration bladder compatible design with a hose exit port and internal sleeve to hold the water reservoir.
The pack also has two interior pockets to secure keys and other small items, like bars or headlamps. The top loading entry cinches tight. The pack is made with durable ripstop nylon with a weather resistant coating. They are priced at $44.95.
T-shirts, hoodies and hats
They also have a series of t-shirts, including nicer cut v-neck shirts for women, hoodies and baseball hats.
These shirts are all available in a variety of prints. The tees are made with soft organic cotton. The shirts retail for $25, and hoodies for $70. Trucker hats are available for $25.
Nalgene Bottles
Also available are 1 liter Nalgene bottles with map prints, they retail for $10.95, and a National Parks coffee mug available for about $18.
These map-printed items are a nice way to give back to the National Parks system! 5% of each sale will be donated to the National Parks. What a great way to show your support for parks, and get a cool print too.
